What is a Regular or Small Potted Tree?

Regular-sized potted trees are surrounded by 2 square inches of dirt about 7 inches deep.  These are three-year old trees.

Small-sized potted trees are surrounded by 1 inch of dirt in a circular tube. These are two-year old trees. 

Both the regular and small potted trees come in lots of 30 and are contained in styrofoam boxes as seen in the above picture.   Tips for planting potted trees.
