Seedling Trees for Colorado

If you are interested in participating in the 2011 seedling tree program, please call the office at 303-621-2070 ext. 101 or email us and we will get an order form out to you. Please see below to read more about the specifics of the seedling tree program.  These trees and shrubs are specially selected to do well in Colorado's climate.

About our Seedling Tree Program

The seedling tree program enables farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners to obtain seedling trees and shrubs at a nominal cost.  The program's aim is to encourage landowners with two acres or more to successfully establish conservation tree plantings. The Kiowa Conservation District sells to landowners in their district which includes, mostly western Elbert County Colorado.  We are not able to ship any of these trees.

Each season from November to March, we provide an opportunity for landowners to purchase seedling trees and shrubs for sale through the Colorado State Forest Service Nursery (see our Links section to visit their nursery website).

The species we offer all do well in Colorado.  Many sell fast, so early ordering is important to ensure you'll get exactly the trees and shrubs you want.

Trees order forms for 2011 have been mailed out to all on the Kiowa Conservation District's mailing list.  The deadline to order trees will be March 15, 2011.  Distribution (pick up) of the trees will be the Thursday April 7th in Kiowa.   If you are interested in the program for 2011, please call us at 303-621-2070 ext. 101 or email us and we will put you on the list to receive a form.
