Several tests have been conducted using this product, all of which have similar results to the following.
This product was first used in Yuma County, Colorado in April 1984 on a windbreak site. In 1993 it was still in good shape. Though only guaranteed against UV damage for 5 years, you may expect to get a much longer life from it.
Moisture levels under the weed barrier didn't drop below 85% during a test conducted in 1991. By contrast, moisture levels under fallow dropped to about 3%.
By preventing weed growth and preserving moisture, this weed barrier is one of your seedlings best friend.
