Fertilizer TabletsEnlarged view. Each tablet is about 1/2" high and 3/4" in diameter.
Features of the TabletsSafe: The slow-release nutrients in the tablets are compressed under many tons pressure. The tablets do not dissolve; instead, the nutrients are gradually released by the action of soil bacteria. Therefore, the risk of burning roots is negligible. Effective: These tablets provide 8 times the plant's need for nitrogen, 13 times the need for phosphorus, and 4 times the need for potassium required to quadruple the size of a seedling during the first year after transplanting. But little of the surplus nutrients are wasted; most are slowly absorbed by the tree's roots. Versatile: These tablets work in any kind of soil so long as there is sufficient moisture to permit root growth and sufficient soil bacteria to break down the tablets. Directions: Place one tablet 6 to 8 inches away from the seedling and a few inches under the soil. It is slow release, so as the seedling is watered, the tablet dissolves slowly. |
